  • Masculinity and femininity

Yin & yang, masculinity & femininity…etc, such an insightful topic. I myself have been exposed to this concept in a rather practical way in the near past. Masculinity is generally linked to being protective, providing, being the calm one under storm etc and femineity being linked to being soft, tender, caring etc (this is solely based on my limited observation of life). I understand there are different layers to this onion, and they do get exposed during various situations and circumstances.

But I was then intrigued by how this can be observed in a being, irrespective of male or female species as masculinity and femininity aren’t nothing but traits, right? I started noticing masculinity could further be extended to a being’s level of consciousness and femineity to emotions.
A person who is in their optimum masculine behavior would be conscious of how they are, and that would, in turn, be exhibited on how conscious they are to the surroundings. Maybe this is a trait from the Stone Ages, where hunters had to be conscious about their surroundings if they had to survive. Femininity, on the other hand, is more about emotions, may it be in the form of creating an atmosphere of joy, love, and other uplifting behaviors. Interestingly, I have observed awareness of this actually supports in connecting with fellow beings in society. i.e. a person who is conscious and aware could get along with a group of beings in their masculine mode, and a person who has mastered emotions will be comfortable around being in their feminine mode. I have purposefully removed gender from the above observation to avoid any bias.

  • The beginning…

This came into my life, just when I was looking for a sign
Just like a message that was always meant to be mine

During the journey life, I drifted few miles
Just to understand the lessons were meant to be just for a while

When lost, I started loosing my mind,
Indeed, to realise what I needed to find

But then on the way to mind, I realised I lost by smile
Only to find it was buried deep in my heart, all this while

In the plans to resume the journey of life
Just to see where the road will take me this time.

    Carpe diem
